Equipment for Sprint Free or Die
Share
Good news - you don't need very much equipment.
You can actually do the entire program with only a pair of shoes.
My son and I did a similar program for YEARS using a few kettlebells, a wood plyo box and a couple sandbags.
The only movements requiring equipment in the Sprint Free or Die workouts are:
- Box Step Up
- Farmer Carry
- Kettlebell Deadlift
Note - we offer an equipment free version as well...it's just not as fun.
The equipment needed for the weekly strength workout:
- a plyo box or something similar
- we use these resin boxes from Rogue
- you can usually find boxes on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace
- Amazon also has a large selection
- kettlebells or dumbbells to carry and deadlift
- get kettlebells or dumbbells locally if at all possible...shipping is brutal
- if you have young kids I suggest sandbags for the carries. These are the best on the market.
If you are strong like bear Farmer Carry Handles are amazing. We use these from Rogue. Make sure you add the collars.
Farmer carry handles require weights. We use Rogue Milspec Bumpers but any plates will do.
That's it. That is all you need.
Remember, these are family friendly workouts and as such are not grueling.
The goal is to introduce the kids to exercise and have fun.
